About the Event
Passions explores the moments of irresistible intensity that define the human experience. In its modern sense, the word "passion" often conjures thoughts of romantic or sensual desire, but its roots go much deeper - to capture forces that drive our inner being so dramatically that they inevitably bring soulful pain along with them. These forces arise at key points in our lives: youthful exuberance, deep affection, grief, fear, and amazement. This program attempts to capture the wild spirit of these passions as only music can.
