About the Event
Join us on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 3PM Eastern for "Departure," our opening virtual concert for the 2020-21 season! Please note that, unlike our other virtual concerts, this season opener will only be presented live at 3PM, and will not be available after the livestream - so don't miss it!
Leaving home is always a time of great meaning, whether it's heading to the office (remember that?) or heading off on a great journey. It can be a joyous experience when we head out on a long-anticipated trip, but it can also be earth-shattering when forced to leave against our own will. We set off on our season's journey with the amazing Miró Quartet based in Austin, Texas, and clarinet-piano duo Mariam Adam and Andrew von Oeyen from Paris, France!
The performance will be live-streamed on our homepage (www.constellationsmusic.org) and Facebook page right at 3PM Eastern on Sunday, November 22. The artists will also be joining us for a live Q&A session and virtual reception immediately following the concert in Constellations' Zoom meeting room!
On the program for this virtual concert:
Kevin Puts - Home for String Quartet
The Miró Quartet
Valerie Coleman - Sonatine
Johannes Brahms - Sonata No. 2 in E-flat Major for Clarinet and Piano, Op. 120, selected movements
Mariam Adam, clarinet and Andrew von Oeyen, piano
