About the Event

We hope you can join us virtually on Sunday, May 3 starting at 4 pm for "daydream," our next Constellations Virtual Concert!  This week's offering will be a delightful escape to the realm of the romantic and fantastical.  As usual, the performance will be posted on our home page (www.constellationsmusic.org) as well as on our Facebook page, and available online for 72 hours to enjoy at your convenience.  Access to the video is free and we encourage you to continue to spread the word and share with family and friends.  The more the merrier!

We are excited to introduce one of our Artistic Advisors for Constellations, pianist Christina Dahl, for today's program, along with  her husband, trombonist Rick Stout (member of the Cleveland Orchestra), as well as violinist Clara Lyon (Spektral Quartet), and fantastic cellist Hannah Collins (who is quarantined together with Clara!).

The program will feature the following works:

Robert Schumann: Fantasiestücke, Op. 73

     I.  Zart und mit Ausdruck

Maurice Ravel: Sonata for Violin and Cello

     I.  Allégro

     II.  Très vif

Clara Schumann: Romances, Op. 21 No. 1 & Op. 12 No. 2

Roger Tallroth: Josefin’s Waltz

Our very own Ian Rosenbaum will host a discussion panel with the performers to discuss their insights into the program and how the current pandemic has influenced their music-making.

A big THANK YOU to Hae-Soon Hahn & Steve Rosenbaum, Rick Lenon & Leslie Hsu, Scott Nelson, Martha Alvarez, Nancy Riker, Aron & Karen Primack, and Astrid Weigert for sponsoring the musicians for our fourth Constellations Virtual Concert!

All of our Virtual Concert programs are crafted by the Programming Committee and specially performed by the artists in their own home for the Constellations audience.  You can donate online by clicking here or texting CONSTELLATIONS to 44-321.  All contributions for this campaign will go 100% to the artists!

Special thanks to Hae-Soon Hahn & Steve Rosenbaum for sponsoring the Constellations Programming Committee for our entire Virtual Concerts project!
